New Bonneville Owner
Hey all,
I'm a new owner of a 1996 Bonneville SE in a silver almost brown/tan colour. I wrote colour cuz I'm Canadian, eh! Moving away with my girlfriend for grad school and it was time to get something more reliable than my Daytona and she doesn't like the Sundance, so we bought her parent'* Bonnie. I like the car plenty, although I miss that small car feel or the manual tranny, but the cruiser feel is growing on me. We've taken this thing on three road trips this summer before we decided to buy it, so I've had quite a good test drive, lol.
No immediate questions yet, but I'm sure they'll come, I'm no newbie to working on cars, but hopefully they are as easy to work on as the 80'* early 90'* Chryslers.
Cheers,
Yann

I was just reading up on that actually and it worried me a bit. I do know my gf'* dad paid for some very expensive engine repairs lately (a complete rebuild I believe) so I'll check the manifold to see if it'* been replaced. The good news is that the engine is warrantied for 3 years by the dealership from those repairs. But thanks for the heads up!

Welocme!
You wouldn't happen to be a member of www.turbododge.com would you? My Brother is Avenger over there. That Shelby VNT is a different animal altogether, isn't it?

Yep, I'm a member of both allpar.com and turbododge.com, though not a regular one anymore. And the VNT is a very very rare bird, but a lot of hassle. It has been converted to a normal Garret T3 turbo tho I do have a good VNT turbo sitting on my shelf, basically a conversation piece now. The dealerships here in Canada do not even know the car exists, its always funny to see the look on their faces.
