I just recenlty purchased a 2000 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi. I want to do some performance mods to this car and I have been searching around and I'm not sure where to start. What is the best place to start? Also, is there anything besides the steering gearbox problem that I need to know about. My parents have owned the car from mile 111. It now has barely 60k. Car is in great shape and it is silver with tinted rims. I hope that this forum is as helpful as the one I use to be a member. Look forward to the replys.

You really don't want to see the buick, I have spent so much money on trying to get the damn thing to run that the car is starting to look like crap. I'm going to go to the local drag strip in a couple of weeks to get some runs on on the SSEi. I know you guys probably don't care but my honda in 1000 ft runs 13.03 @ 81 mph.

I'm from Russellville, AR and I don't think there are too many members from around here.

1000' time. What???? (runs and grabs nearest timeslip for 1000' time) Damn. 13.319. Missed it by that much, but I only (as in slower than a Bonneville) run a 15.9 in the 1/4.

Have fun at the track. I always love running my cars. Good luck with your SSEi.

WEll I'm glad to know what the honda would do in the 1/4 mile since our times are pretty close. For some reason we only have 1000ft tracks here. The major problem with the honda is low-end torque(duh is a honda). When I first bought that car and mom had my SSEi(just bought it from her), we raced on the interstate...we were dead even until I hit about 127 and had to shift, then I lost all my momentum. Why do you think I bought the ssei. I'm trying to research the board and find out which direction to go, I guess I just should start out with a smaller pulley and is there any diy'* for the intakes. I'm not that handy I'd make it look horrible

Welcome e-i-o, I really like that Nickname. for some reason it just tickles me. Just jump into the Performance section. You already got an */C and ten minutes reading there will give you more ideas than I could type in about an hour.
