I just logged in here for the first time this evening, but you could say I've got GM in my blood, since my dad was a district sales manager for Oldsmobile from 1959-1991.

I presently have two GM cars: a 1995 Pontiac Bonneville SE, purchased a little over a month ago; and a 1997 Cadillac Deville Concours. Other GM cars I've owned in the past include: 1998 Olds Aurora; 1997 Olds LSS; 1994 Olds LSS; 1991 Olds Cutlass Supreme; 1984 Buick Century; 1986 Olds Calais Supreme; my great aunt'* 1977 Buick Skylark coupe.

I've occasionally posted on Caddyinfo.com since I got the Deville in the summer of '09, and I was pretty active on the ACNA forum back when I had the Aurora (may she rust in pieces).

I haven't taken any shots of the Bonneville yet. It'* in bad need of a paint job, but no rust. I've got some digital shots of the Aurora before she was wrecked; I've just got to find them. Here'* a couple of the Caddy: http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/3227/pict0022.jpg and http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/558/pict0031ihu.jpg. I'll have to dig out and scan some pix of the other cars.

Hands down, my favorite out of all of them was the Aurora. Nothing I've ever driven can quite compare to it. I bought the car in the winter of 1997 with only 43k on the odometer and it was in pristine condition--metallic tan with a tan leather interior, sunroof and chrome wheels. Sadly, I totaled her in the summer of '09, just after it turned 75k. Fortunately, my girlfriend and I both walked away with nary a scratch nor a bruise. She protected us to the end. I still miss that car! Every time I see a first generation Aurora on the road, especially a tan one, I get wistful. Here'* a pic of the Aurora just after the accident: http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/375/0727091954.jpg.

I'm enjoying driving the Bonneville. It'* smooth, tight, and runs great with 110k on the odometer. I've fixed a few minor issues on it and still have a few others left to do. The paint job will probably have to wait a while until I can scrape the funds together.

Bonnevilles are great cars, great ride, lots of power, and look sporty. Love mine. But still miss my Fiero, one day I will have another one.

welcome to the forum! when i was looking for my car it was a hard decision between a deville like yours an aurora and the park. in the end the deal breaker was the 2 extra cylinders. being 17 i can honestly say i think i would have had to sold the others. i can barley keep up with this cars mpg lol.

do you plan to do any modifications?
