That was my 93 SSE SC, I sold that last year, was getting worn. I got my 2005 SLE for 11K with 53K miles on it, I now have 62000 on it now. I would have love it if GM offered the HUD in the SLE model.

I swear by AmsOil Synthetic 5W30, I got in everything that uses gas, including my mower and Snow Blower.

Unfortunately the SALTand Calcium in Ohio eats up everything. So I wax the *#!^ out it.

Don't have any good pictures of yet (freshly waxed). I will try to post some pics before a heavy snow.

See my avatar for now..

Had a 93 SSE Supercharged, sold it last year and got my 05 SLE for $11K with 53K miles on it.

I swear by AmsOil Full Synthetic oil, I had it in all my gas powered equipment i.e. mower, snow blower.

I wish GM offered the HUD (Heads-Up-Display) for the SLE model, I loved the HUD in my SSE and the Supercharger was phenominal but I didn't like pumping 18 Gallons of 93 Octane at $4 per gal.

I have a K&N Stock replacement air filter, and Bosh 2+ Plat. plugs

Welcome to the GMForum Tim. Some SLE'* (and other trim levels) have the HUD, I guess it depends on the build/Dealer ordering. A few here have converted to it and could help you with that if you get the inkling for it. And we know a good wrecking yard that specializes in FWD Pontiacs. Ed Morad is just down the block from you. Sure they could come up with the guts needed. http://www.moradpartscompany.com/

Wax, Wax and more WAX!!!

Can't stess that enough, and up here in Cleveland Ohio, one of few places on earth with LAKE Effect SNOW an undercarriage bath every so often..

My 93 was just starting to rott above the rear wheels and above the windsheid.. but after 253,672 miles, I sold it last year before it disintergrated for $1.400.

Ohh I totally understand the wax ordeal, my car prob has like 2 inches of polish & wax on it from waxing it soo often lol during car show season I fully detail it every single weekend. it'* crazy & I spend like 6-10 hours on it depending on what all I'm doing. My undercarriage is all rusting too bcuz of stupid Missouri salt & the car came from New York so yeah enough said lol. Ohh yeahh that sucks, rust is killer.

It'* a good idea to wash your car with Kerosene to remove the wax buildup and then use a Cleaner Wax (I used Meguires), then a Carnuba wax (Smells like Bannans), I wax the inside all of the jambs as well but I only wipe the external body and leave the heavy wax for the winter in the spots you don't see.
