Default new bonne owner in virginia

Thanks, first of all, for the people who start these sites. It'* nice to know you can go
somewhere to get help and to hear of other owners.

This is my second site i've joined, the other site is for Explorers,(hopefully, there aren't any ford haters out there) LOL.

Maybe someone can help me with a problem? My '95 SE has a code of P0118 (coolant
temparture sensor high reading), but i've changed the sensor and i still get the code.
PLEASE HELP!! Thank-you

Hey Welcome to BC!

Nice to see another member from Virginia, where in Va are you located?

Ford haters yeah they're some among us, though quite a few members here have Fords as well. We actually have 8 Fords in our driveway (two are parts cars and one is a company truck) , and one GM being the Bonneville

and about your problem, You'll get more help if you make a post in the 1992-1999 Mechanical / Maintenance section. Here:
http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=9

But have you changed the coolant or thermostat or anything lately, might be an air bubble in there. Do you know of any leaks? Or possibly thermostat could have gone bad...

But again, Welcome

Thanks BOOZE for the welcome,,

Yes i have changed the coolant tempature sensor (twice) my indash gage reads alittle high,( between 190-230 ( fluctuates) I know the themostat in opening , but to what degree i don't know. My scanner shows 280-330, intermittenly, as to say it says okay one moment and the next it reads really high. It seems to be alright when i first start the car, and then as the car warms up to around 125 is when it jumps to 280 and the check gages light comes on.
I'm really hoping it'* not the PCM. The signal wire is not shorted, and there is no ground fault of any kind.

I could really use some help with this

Thanks to all who help

Stock Thermostat Opens at 195*

This past summer I fought an air bubble that was causing mine to fluctuate between 190-230 like you said yours is.

But anyway, you'll probably get a far better response in the Mechanical section than here.
