Default hello

hi everyone, new to site and just wanted to say hello.. i have a 96 olds lss 3800 motor no supercharge... i do have a small problem with the a/c.. well it was blowing warm and the previous owner told me the mechanic did something to help it, well i found what he did and he had the what i beleive is the actuator arm pulled out and held with black tape, but that only gave me warm air,so i pushed it back in and it was working fine for about two weeks then went warm again, i tried to push it back in but now it still blows warm.. the blend door is working by pushing in and out but only warm air.. any help appreciated, it is auto.climate control.. ps. when you have rod pushed all the way in then move control **** to lhigh setting ,it does move out and u have hot heat, thanks, john

Sounds like you have no coolant in the AC system. May need to have it recharged.

i had the a/c recharged just before i had problem so i think there is freon in system, service place said they would check for leaks when they charged it up, the reason for the recharge was i put a new a/c compressor in, as it was getting a little noisy on the clutch end, so i fixed it to make wife happy, but u never know if a leak was there and they didn;t find it at the time and it all leaked out..

i had recharge down before problem, so i think system is good unless service place did not find a leak and charged it up and now it all leaked out, they said they would check for leaks before charge but u never know if there was one or not....thanks
