Hey! I've owned my stock '98 Bonnie for about 1 1/2 years now, I've learned the feel of her, and what she can do. My only problem is that I know NOTHING about performance modding vehicles. Where is a good place to start learning? And are there any important things I need to know? Thanks for any advice in advance.

Hi.. Welcome..

You are asking the mod bug to bite.. brave of you..

Hop on down to performance and brainstorming and into techinfo for tons of information and suggestions on how to make your baby faster.

Welcome to the insanity............

Asking for the mod bug to bite is like asking someone to steal your wallet

Please put your year and trim level in your sig and it will va alot easier for us to help and make suggestions

Welcome! You've found the place to learn!! We were all new to this at one point. Like Boosty said, hit up TechInfo (great starting point tips there), and then just read, read, read!!

First lesson - Add a location to your profile. Local memebers love to help each other out.

Second Lesson - Throw your year and trim level in your Signature. Then you won't have to "reintroduce" your car each time you have a question.

Default My Ride...

I would love to be bitten by the bug. sounds odd.....but i've prolly already been half-bitten. i've fallen in love with the performance and sounds of the modded cars, and decided i wanted my own. Now, my profile does not permit HTML code, and won't let me turn it on either...... but my beaut is a Bonneville '98, 3.8L V6 engine. No mods of any sort attached.

Default P.*.

P.*.......A long time ago, i realized that this car was previously a lease-car. It has 175k miles on it, and a governor at 6k RPMs, as well as a governor at 109.5 MPH.

In case anyone cares, I get about 31/32 MPG on the highway, 25/6 in the city.

I also have some annoying ABS that I really really don't like. and currently looking into disabling it....unless anyone has objections.

(edited) Haha, btw, i'm about an hour North of Atlanta, Georgia.
