New Guy From Illinois

As the title says I'm new to the forum and am from Illinois. I just picked up a 2000 SLE, black. I just got it on Saturday so its still new to me. I'm 18 years old but this is my first car. I washed it, clayed it, used paint cleaner in areas that I thought needed it, and then used the Meguiar's tech wax on it. First time using tech wax, liked it pretty well overall, black is always the judge! Well, enough said, here are some pics of it. These are from today, 1 day after the full cleanup so it is a little dirty.

Hello from a fellow 2000 SLE owner! 8)

DarkShadow, near St. Louis. singscountry1967, thanks for the welcome. That is a very nice looking SLE you have there. I noticed the R.I.P. next to the '93 SSEI and read the post, that is fortunate for your son, unfortunate for the car. My sister currently has a black '98 SLE(50k) but her former car was a red '97 SE. It was totaled about a year and a half ago. Luckily it wasn't her fault, an old lady ran a red and she couldn't avoid it. The Chrysler she hit wasn't driveable but the Bonne fired right up and drove on the truck! Here are some before and after pics of here previous car.

It doesn't look that bad after the total, it took it pretty well. The bodyshop owner said the only reason it was totaled was due to the airbags going off and breaking the dash.
