Wink New chick from Missouri

Hey guys!

My name is Brittany & I'm on here because I promised my boyfriend that I would help him think of mod ideas for his 2002 Bonneville and what better way to do so then join a forum all about them

First off, I'll give you a quick background review on what I know about his car:
It'* a 2002 white Pontiac Bonneville SE with about 90,000 miles on it
His mom bought it back in 03/04 with not many miles on it at all
His mom got like an 07 (i think thats the year) Impala and passed the Bonneville to him and he passed his Malibu on to his younger brother
No problems with it except for the typical Pontiac window problems that he is about to fix during his spring break, and he said that his oil gauge or something is messed up. His mom also got T-boned on the back driver'* side door but they replaced it and it looks good as new.

That'* about all I know about it at the moment. Seemed like it is in good shape but he (and I) really want to start modding on it now that he'* getting the money to. I'm not too familiar with what all mods that a Bonneville can have but I've had some basic ideas like a new ram air hood, new rims, tinted windows, and a CAI but we need some more.
Here is the only pic I have of his car at the moment:

Okay so any help or suggestion for his car would be awesome!

Okay now some quick info about me. I'm Brittany and I just moved back to the Saint Louis area from Pensacola, Florida. I'm 19 years old and I've grown up around cars and love everything about them. Not a fan of imports but its whatever. I don't have a Bonneville but I think what I got is good enough for me Here'* a few pics of my baby

My baby is a 2004 Supercharged Monte Carlo SS. Got her the last week of May of 2008 with only 18,500 miles on her. Currently she has about 38,800 miles on her. I am slowly starting to do some mods that are on my and boy is it a longgg list! My goal is to make her into a custom Dale Earnhardt Senior Tribute Monte Carlo SS. Eventually I want to buy a 1984 Monte Carlo SS and make that into one of the baddest 4th gen Monte Carlos to ever hit the pavement! I'm on several forums so some of you may have seen the car before but who knows.

If y'all have any questions, comments or suggestions please don't hesitate to ask. Later

Welcome to the forum! (Again :P) You both have good taste in vehicles.

Take a look here for a list of mods if you haven't already. https://www.gmforum.com/performance-brainstorming-tuning-96/what-order-should-i-mod-my-engine-278662/

Obviously not all of these apply to your boyfriends car since it is NA, but its a good start. Post any problems you have in the 2000 - 2005 section and our gear heads will get you fixed up.

Thanks, again He will probably join the forum eventually but I told him to let me handle it first to see what forums are worth getting onto since I know more about cars then he does

Yeah I'm trying to figure out exterior mods first since they are usually cheaper then performance mods. Just saw on a thread that no one makes ram air hoods for the bonns which totally blows, i thought someone would since grand prix have em and all but apparently not so now i gotta think of something else to do with it. You guys got any threads around here that are all about exterior mods? This site is set up a lil differently then the Monte Carlo Forum.

Your best bet is to use the search feature. Off the top of my head, I know there is a thread on debadging, HID'*, I think Danthurs has a writeup somewhere of how he did his ram air hood, clearing the turn signals, lighting up the trunk reflector, rims. Anything you could want to do most likely has some sort of documentation here, and if not your always welcome and encouraged to be the first to post it up!

Alright sweet. Whenever I'm not half asleep I'll have to look around the forum for more specific topics that I need. Once I get more comfortable & familiar with the ways you guys work on here I'll be up on this forum all the time asking questions or opinions or posting up random stuff like car show dates or crazy news articles of some sort. I'll just have to make sure that I don't favor my monte too much on here

Welcome to the site. Being a non supercharged engine limits the options, but there is still a lot that can be done. Just ask and we will help. By the way, very nice looking Monty there.

Your Monte Carlo has me drooling. I looked at a Dale Earnhardt edition one while looking for a car but the one I looked at was too beat up with only 68,000 miles on it.

As for the mods, you can do a top swap and make the L36 supercharged. Of course that'* a lot of work involved, depends on how far your boyfriend wants to go but that would open it up for more mods later.

Welcome to the Bonneville Forum Brittany!

The list of performance mods for a NA motor is short, but there are some great things that can be done to give it some pep in the step.

Exterior modding.....it'* all about vision. You can do lots or little and it'* all up to personal style.

Drag that boyfriend of yours in here.....will give him the mod bug!
