New BV owner -- This site totally rocks!!
Hey everybody! Man, I couldn't be more proud to join the ranks of you illustrious Bonneville enthusiasts!
My dad bought a brand-new Bonneville SSEi back in '94, and I swore that one day I would buy it from him if he'd ever part with it. This past June that dream came true, and man, am I ever glad my dad took such good care of her. Even at over 260,000 km (162,500 mi), she'* still got everything that thrilled me the first time my dad let me leave some smoking rubber on the TransCanada Highway!
Shortly thereafter I stumbled across this amazing community, and already its threads have helped me (a) replace the stock stereo, (b) install subwoofers, (c) remove/replace seats, the center console and trim, (d) run cables through the firewall, (e) troubleshoot errant warning indicators, (f) relocate the electronic compass sensor and (g) do all of these things myself with an unusual degree of confidence and success!
Anyway, I thought it was high time I said 'hello' and 'thanks'. Perhaps one day I'll be able to shed some light on a Bonneville-related issue to help someone else in kind.
Jeff
