hey, not a bonnie owner... yet!
I have a 1992 toronado trofeo, (3.
luxery car, keyless entry, airbag, abs,load level susp, sun roof, leather, 16'' wheels, 230,000km
my father bought this car new, then in 97 my wife bought it off him, but I drive it lots, and my wife drives my camaro lots, (pff cloth seats, no lumbar. ill drive the trofeo)
and I have a 87 toronado (3. luxery car, load level susp, sun roof, velvet seats. nice car, 330,000km.. I sometimes drive it, rebuilt engine 130,000 ago. new drive axels. I mite sell it though. Pay for a large chunk of my bonnie.
and I have 69 1/2 ton.(restored)
and My work truck is a 1 ton 03 chev. (im a welder by trade)

You're Alberta? So is Deathrat. He'* a GM parts guy at a Dealership there.
I'd seriously consider going with a 96 if you can afford it. The 95 was a transition year between OBD1 and OBD2, so there are no aftermarket chips available for the PCM. 96 was also the first year of the Series 2 L67.

Wasn't there a big transmission change between the 1996 and 1997? We used to have a '96 SSEi but got rid of it after 3 years cuz it was doing some WEIRD things that the dealer didnt want to fix. The ONE advantage of leasing 
- it got exchanged for a 99 Catera. Funny - our 88 Bonneville is still rollin' along after longer than I care to admit
