Hey guys... I've been working on late-90's era H and C body cars for a few years now and I thought It would be fun to join another forum and share some of my knowledge.

Past cars:
90 Olds 88
89 Buick Park Avenue
86 Olds 88
85 Olds 98

I've done a lot of work on friends cars and currently a TON of work on my LeSabre T Type. My car sat for nearly 5 years and since then I've replaced almost everything in it. It has a couple Bonnie parts in it too :)

Thought I'd join another forum and poke around... theres not too many good places for H Body info :)

I know what you mean... we have been here for 5.5 years.... I found BC simply as I was looking for ways to improve on what I already had... And was floored to see that other people loved the H bodies..

In the last year we noticed we had quite a few Olds and Buick C and H bodies Joining... so we expanded a little bit as the Powertrains are identical... We are still a Bonneville Forum but we welcome the Other C and H Bodies... We all learn from each other ;)

I spent a couple years on AutomotiveForums back when I got my first H body, my 90 Olds 88. I found LeSabreT after another member at AF gave me the link for the site after I posted a want ad for a new car in which to drop my engine and tranny into (I wrecked my olds with only 45k on the odo :( ). Soo.... yeah. I can pull Olds and Buick H/C cars apart in my sleep so I figured I could learn about their Bonnie cousin.

With as many C and H body cars as I've had I'd figure I would know a good deal to chip in, at least on the powertrain issues as, like you said, they are identical.

Ya know, if I had enough spare cars laying around I've always wanted to "kit bash" a few together to see what happens. I'd start off with an Olds 88 FE3 coupe, put the front end of a LeSabre onto it (I LOOOVE the flip forward hood), the body kit of an SSE, and the interior would have to have SSE leather buckets and a T Type center console shift... not sure on how I would do the dash setup as I like both the Olds and Buick versions. Not a big fan of the huge Bonnie dash... but If I started with an Olds I'd prolly leave the Olds dash in... but swap in an Olds Touring Sedan instrument cluster as it has lots of extra gauges.

And then paint it all black. Man that would be wicked sweet, assuming all the parts would actually match up on the unibody frame with minimal work via sawzall and welder.

I'd love to see someone convince Bonneville body panels to wrap around a T-Type. Now that'd be an evil lookin car... :twisted:
Throw a Series2 in with some serious mods, and you've got a machine that'll confuse the heck out of anyone that just saw those tails go by...

Anyway, we seem to have had a lot of T-Types joining lately, did a T-type forum die off or something? Not complaining, just wondering why the sudden influx.
