Hello, I'm home!
Hello,
I'm a new member of this glorious family. You guys are my new family now. For ages I have searched the internet at school looking for a club for the new bonnevilles but to no avail until I found a link leading to this. I am 18 and I live in Ohio. I drive a beautiful 1999 Pontiac Bonneville SE, she'* silver and is completely stock but will get a custom intake and maybe an exhaust upgrade.
I'm not motor smart but I'm very book smart. I'm in every advanced class offered. I was hoping you guys could teach me some new tricks. I understand the air intake and the exhaust equation. I don't quite understand how you say to go to Intense to get a PCM when I have visited that and found none for my car.
Another thing, what is the best type of muffler you guys recommend, I'm deaf so the noise won't matter, I just don't want the car to sound like the imports.

Welcome to the club sir. My name is Chris and if there is anything you need please ask me. Good luck with your 3800! That is a fine motor. I would suggest posting some pics with this post. The section is for photos of your car fyi. Someone will get on you about that so I just clued you in. I think you will find the B-Club alot of fun and a great resource with great people on it. Good luck with your car... WE NEED SOME PHOTOS OF IT ASAP!

Welcome, you came to the right place.
Mod wise, take a peek in our Tech Info section, or do a forum search in say, Performance and Brainstorming.

Yeah I would like to post pics but I don't own a digital camera or a scanner. I'll have to ask one of my pals to photograph my car then email me then I'll post it.
By the way, I'm sorry about mentioning the mods question, I didn't realize that the family would be strict about that.
I could tell you that she'* silver, has red brakes, flame pinstriping and red "Bonneville" on the sides. I will post the pics as soon as I get them. Be patient and bear with the newbie.

First off I would work on a CAI/FWI and throw a high-flow cat in there..then we can talk about pcm/rockers/cam etc. flowmaster and magnaflow are common choices for exhaust.
phpBB searches are screwy and like you to be simple. for example type in muffler and search only in performance and brainstorming, show you a series of items....for example these posts:
