Default New Bonne Owner From PA

Hey guys, I already asked quite a few questions before introducing myself and today I noticed this section so I thought I would reply here. Name is Dave, I trim high end homes in and around central PA for numerous contractors. I run a full sized F-150 loaded with tooIs to a job, unload, then run empty for weeks finishing up the houses. Got this 96 Bonneville SE from my bro in law for free! It is really clean, looks great but needed quite a bit to pass inspection. He is retired and ready for a new car so he was happy to give it to me. (well I do have to go and recover his kitchen counter top with a new pc of Formica next spring when they return from Fla but that is just a days work) This car gets great gas mileage and is a pleasure to drive to work every day.

Got the brake lines fixed with some advice from this forum already. Bought the KD tool to adjust the noisy A/C compressor and will do that today following a thread from in this forum. Fixed the radio display after reading how to in here. Bought a cheap code scanner from e-bay someone posted a link to. This is a great friendly, informative forum and I am glad to be a part of it. Hopefully I can contribute something to someone in need one of these days. Have a great day guys!

Thanks for taking the time to introduce yourself Dave. It'* good to hear you are getting benefit out of the forum. I'm thinking I made some of the suggestions you are so grateful for, and I'm thinking my counter tops could use some work as well.

Gotta love the barter system.

What'* next to fix on the Bonneville?

LOL! Probably change out the tranny fluid and filter. Then I need to shoot some oil all over that rear frame member everything hooks to in the rear there. It is a little rusty and the inspection guy said I don't want to have to swap that out! he said clean it up and spray some oil on it. We have so much crap sprayed on the roads along with salt and tons of anti-skid materials. Really hard on your vehicle. Well, that'* about it for now.
