Ne hoobie
'Sup folks.
I'm a noooooobie here. Looking to buy a '95 Bonneville. Long story toward this "aquirement".
So lets go back...... *whooshing sound of flashback* whooooooooooooooooooooooosh*
March of last year I purchased my friends '94 Probe GT. I was planning on swaping out the engine for the KLZE Japanese 2.5L mazda engine. And using the car for racing auto cross and dragging at the strip. However, i quickly found that an engine swap was WAY over my head!! So this project was a problem from the start!
Shortly after that (April) I got fired from my job. A job I held for 5 years. Which is quite a feat because I was 22 at the time. So I lose my job and so my probe (in several pieces) needs to be put somewhere, because, naturally, i'm not going to be able to keep it at my apptment if i can't pay rent... So a good friend of mine offers to help me out HUGE!!! He takes the car off my hands and installs the engine into the car (yay) but it'* still not done yet, needs a few things. So I get the car back after getting a job up in the Twin Cities area (I'm originally from Austin, MN) and I get the car back. Prior to this though, last october, I purchased a '75 Corvette. RUH ROH!!! now I have 2 project cars!! But I'm still planning on keeping th 94 probe. Then my roommate wrecks my 95 probe 4cyly. :( now I dont have a car, seeing as the other two cars I own, 1. engine isn't installed fully yet and 2. is a '75 corvette 396 swap NOT good for daily driving!! (read: 11 mpg) So my (current roommate, then friend) offers to let me use his '94 Olds Cutless. So cool. basically a free car.
Anyhoo, I moved out of my old place and into a new place (was in Edina, now i'm in Burnsville) and got some new roommates. Buuuuuut i'm now uber broke. Because I have 2 freakin project cars!!! C'MON PEOPLE follow along. Anyhoo, I finally make a decision in the middle of a headgasket swap on the Probe.... I need to get rid of something. Since the Japanese-not working-gutted out-probe market in Minnesota is VERY limited, my asking price is VERY low. :( not getting what I put into it. :( But this fella from Mankato MN is HUGE into the Mazda MX6 (same as the probe) so he is interested in the car. Doesn't want to pay what I'm asking for though. :( But look. He has a 1995 BONNEVILLE SE just sitting on his lot!! The former owner had the intake manifold (damn plastic crap) leak coolent on him (go figure) so the previous owner said "you fix it, you can keep it."
PERFECT!!! he doesn't want this bonny on his lot forever, and I need a daily driver (the old'* tranny is garbage) that has some creature comforts!! (i.e. a stereo.... and doorpanels!, remember the probe was gutted)
So I'm going down to test drive it this weekend. (IM was fixed) and if i like what I see, then I may be the new owner of a bonny.
Well, that'* my story. I got a link here from flipping through a few car domains. Found a guy from MN had this in his links. I was like "Cool" (his name is Martin, this is my first time here so I dont know if he is currently here or whatever).
Anyhoo, if I get this car (and I prolly will) I'll definatly keep coming back.

yeah, I signed up to mnbonny.
I was at the GTP meet in the boonies a couple months ago. I was hanging out with my buddies. one has a regal, the other has a Olds Aurora. With the Caddy Northstar V8. He did some exhaust work and it sounds MEAN!!!
Decent meet. I was uber bored however seeing as I was not involved in the club or 3800s at the time at all...
