new owner of a GXP
Hi guys and gals, my name is Brett and I am the proud owner of a 2004 graystone metallic Bonneville GXP. I just purchased the car a couple weeks ago in Woodbridge, Ontario - Canada from an estate sale. The previous owner was 75 years old and owned Bonneville'* his whole life. The car has 24,500km and has every option except the cd changer in the trunk. I came across this forum in my searches and have already done a couple things to the car. I could not figure out why there was no cabin filter under the cover in the engine compartment. The answer was in this forum. I already went to the auto wreckers and picked up the filter holder from a 2001 Bonneville for $2 and got a new filter from Canadian Tire. I have also put in a K&N air filter. I ordered two original GXP badges from ebay (should be here next week). I am planning on putting one badge on the rear center of the trunk lid, just below the 3rd brake light. You have to let other drivers know what just passed them. The other badge I am going to try and fit on the ashtray cover (I think it will be too big though) so I will get a smaller duplicate decal made up to fit. I think it will blend in nice into the interior layout. I love the interior layout of the GXP but I found the pontiac arrow in the center of the steering wheel a little plain. So on my trip to the auto wreckers I found some hubcap center caps from a newer Pontiac (not sure on the model), that fit over the existing steering wheel emblem. It is silver outside and it has a raised red arrow. It fits perfectly and matches the GXP instrument cluster. It looks like it was meant to be there. If anyone wants a picture of what it looks like, just email me - brett.bacsek@sympatico.ca (not sure on how to post pics yet). What is everyone'* opinion on modifying the stock air box? Should I just leave it alone? What other simple mod'* can be done to the Northstar?

Welcome to the Club!
The 2004 GXP is a fine choice, especially in Graystone Metallic (not that I'm biased) Look around the forum, ask some questions and check out the cool things you can do to your car.
You may want to check out http://www.bonnevillepics.com and look at some cars owned by other club members as well.
