Default Hello all,

Great looking site. I have a 97 Bonneville SE with 115k on her and its been a great car. I've had a few probs lately. Mechanic says it needs a new Mass Air Flow Sensor. They wanted $350 for a GM one and $190 for an aftermarket one.

I figured I might be able to do this myself. Does anyone know a good source to buy one and are there any instructions on this site on how to do it?

I have tried the search function but did not find anything.

Thanks so much.

Welcome to the club. There are a few different avenues for parts. You mention a couple, another good one for AC Delco (original) parts is GMPD.com that is GM parts direct aka a dealer that ships parts at a great price. Downside is usually you have a week or 2 week wait for the parts.

You might want to post in the Wanted forum and see if anyone has a spare laying around. Or there may be a member local that no only has one but might help you change it. Although the maf sensor is a quick simple swap usually. (4 screws and a wiggle I believe)
