yes i did and i have found the amp it is on the back of the drivers side rear seat

Reason I ask about different vehicle and Theftlock is, it helps us rule things out.
1. The Theftlock on indicates that the radio had been re-installed recently.
2. Once theftlock is turned off, and no audio is heard, makes me wonder if some modifications have been done to the system prior to you buying the car. Did the previous owner mention anything about a different system?

they might be aftermarket speakers that arent tuned to work on a bose stereo, because you had it reset the speakers may have to be tuned to it.


just a wild guess i cant say for sure.

i think something maybe going on with your amp turn on wire i think it was orange on my bonnie, dont know about 2k+ but if that is cut or something happened to it you wont get sound. mine was small and almost chafed through at the connector on the back of the radio

I thought I read somewhere that the 2000+ radios were a direct drop in chassis. As in, you don't have to pull the harness out and plug in before putting the radio in. You just slide the radio in and it aligns itself with the connector.

ive never had one apart. but i wouldnt think they would do something unique for that. my 03 and 07 monte'* are normal plugs that snap in.

dealt with this issue before, call your local dealer and shoot them your VIN 9/10 they'll give you the code (entered with the hrs/mis of your clock), worst case scenerio your going to have to pull the deck out and get a serial number, if its anything like the older models just a bunch of snap connectors and a couple screws

That'* correct, there are just 4 tabs holding the Head unit in....it slides/plugs back in really easily. The 2000+ dash is probably one of the easiest dashes to take apart... Could maybe a bent prong in the plug-in be something to check?
