Hello All, Im New Around These Parts...
Hi, my name is Derek and I am from NE Ohio. I'll give you some background on how i came to these forums.
It goes back to when my grandfather was alive, as long as I can remember he had always owned bonnevilles, the earliest I remember is a silver 87, then a maroon 89, a silver 93, and a blue 92. I took my driving test 11 years ago in the 89. His time on this planet has come and gone, and I inherited his 93 which he got when it was just 2 years old. He always garage kept this and only took it out a few times a year on trips....well when i got it i drove it daily around town, took it on my honeymoon and this and that, well it was time for me to put her back in the garage, and thats where she went, well i ended up with a rat problem over a winter about 2 years ago, and they got in the engine bay and ate up radiator hose, the engine harness and got in the vents and everything else. It was and is still a truly horrific scene and thought about what has happend to my grandfathers legacy...
I looked here and there for parts cars and stuff, and when one would pop up I was always too late, well i found my perfect parts car and got it home just yesterday. its a white 92 se, and has all the parts i could need, plus the engine runs great!
So im here to check things out and there is a bit of background on me and my Bonneville. I am a VW fanatic at heart, but this bonneville is a piece of my grandfather, that i will cherish and take care of the best that i can unfil the doors and wheels fall off.
Also I will be parting out this 92, so look for a post in the FS section, and I know I am a newcomer here so I will give you guys my ebay name and can verify my 750 100% feedback on there....
thanks for taking the time to read...
