Thanks for the nice welcome. I am an old shadetree mech. that loves to work on my cars. But the 1997 Pont. Bonn. SSEi I have has got me stumped. I took it to a real mechanic friend of mine and he took the Serpentine off and found that I had an ever so slight movement in the front pulley or bearing of the SC. Also said that there may be an issue with the A/C comp. clutch making noise both engaged and not engaged.
Of course he wanted me to pay $1800 for a rebuilt SC right off the bat!!!! I am not sure he is my "friend" anymore.
Any help is appreciated!!!!

You have a bad coupler. It'* not a bad job if you have the tools and are fairly handy with tools. Order a ZZP coupler and some SC oil and have at it. There are numerous videos out there on changing the M90 coupler.
