Here I am. I have a 2002 Buick LeSabre Limited which I have had since new, 9 years and 360,000 kilometers ago. Love the car and it still runs like a dream. One problem I have is that the lights in the climate control and radio panels have gone out, and I am not sure if you have to replace the panels to get them working again, or is there another way? I have replaced some of the buttons on the steering wheel controls and heated seat buttons, but I can't see these panels being fixed the same way - too many buttons and lights. Any ideas? Thanks.

Welcome. Judging by your name, i'm assuming you're from the east coast of Canada?

I have the same problem on my 02 Century. None of the lights on the climate control work, and a couple in the radio are gone. I'm not sure if its hard to change them in the climaate control, but I don't think its very easy to take apart.

the lights are more than likely soldered on to a circuit board. to replace them will be difficult if you don't know how to solder.

Actually, I think the lights in the climate control have the colored rubber "condom" on them.. I'm not even sure if they can be changed..

I've got the same problem with my '97 Bonneville. On mine, the lights seem to be in some sort of holder; however, for the life of me, I can't figure out how they come out (if at all).

welcome

welcome, you could replace them with the regular lights and cover the panel with what ever color opaque plastic or sometimes saran wrap you want

Welcome to the forum. I believe there is a write up in techinfo/electrical about changing the lights. They need to be soldered in.
