Warm Start problem 1987 LeSabre
My buddy has a 1987 LeSabre. Cold Start is fine. It will not re-start when engine is warm sometimes. Last night it just died on the road warmed up. It has good fuel pressure. It has spark. But I noticed it has really cheap plug wires his mechanic put on it about 10,000 miles ago. In no start condition I pulled number one wire off the module post and spark jumped from the top of the boot from a tiny hole in the top of the wire to the post. Could these cheap plug wires be causing timing issues jumping accross terminals? I do not believe it is the Crank Sensor but highly suspect the camshaft sensor. Spark, fuel pressure all good. Any suggestions out there?,

Pull off your fuel pressure regulator vacuum line and smell it. If you smell gas the FPR is bad. What happens is when you shut down the engine it will suck the gas out of the fuel line and flood the engine.
Another test you can try is to start the engine and mist the plug wires with water. Then shut off the lights and watch for blue flashing. If you see that then replace the plug wires.

I've also seen a fuel pump test well with key click and idling tests. Yet when driven it had supply issues and pressure would hit the ground.
