1995 Bonneville SSEi

I have a 1995 Bonneville SSEi 3.8sc. One big problem I have is when the outside temperature reaches around 90% or above and after the car is driven for a few minutes it starts to die out and eventually I can barely keep it going. If i step on the gas it will not respond, it will jerk back and forth like I am taping the gas pedal. I have had this problem for 2-years. If I put the car in neutral when i am moving I can rev the engine but it takes a few seconds of pumping the gas before it revs and then it will only go to a certain rpm, i think around 3.5 or so and the break up. I have had fuel pump and filter checked and both are ok.
I have heard possibilities of things like Oxygen sensor, Super Charger, clogged catalytic converter, bad coil.
Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have any codes? Do you see the SES light flashing at all? The supercharge wont cause this. It would just cause a loss of power, but not a huge loss. I would test the coils, and plug wires. how old are the plugs.

The plugs are several years old. The wires are new. Is there any whey i can check the coils myself.

Also I have had codes for several years. The EGR valve always shows up and I have replaced it twice and made no difference.
I do have a vacuum leak on the upper EGR tube which I am still trying to seal because I have not been able to locate a new or used one for the Super Charged engine.

Well, if you have been driving with a leaking EGR tube, your AFR has been off. I would suggest fixing the known problems. Check at your local salvage yards. The pick and pull yards should have something for you.

1995 Bonneville Oxygen sensor

I have just purchased a oxygen sensor of ebay and realized when I got it that i would have to splice the wires together, there is no plug attached. The problem is that I do not know which wires to attach because the colors don't match. I know where the wires are supposed to go from the new sensor, like purple and white are heater, grey is ground and black is signal. But i do not know where to connect them because I do not know the destination of the original wires which are purple, tan, and 2-brown.
