thanks alot for all the replies, and as a bonus to doing this apparently it sounds better at high rpms, so why not haha. i tend to have wayy too much time on my hands.

btw, if anyone is bored ive got several vids of my car on my youtube. www.youtube.com/eltatertoto

and as for the cushion i think i just need a new seat. the leather in itself is good, but the gray dye is rubbing off on the back bolster by the door on the drivers seat. supposedly the auto recyclers has a complete seat for $75 so im saving up for that haha.

Very nice looking car! If your dad only gets 18mpg going to work on the highway, he has some serious issues. He should be able to pull deep in to the 20'*, unless he deals with a lot of traffic. Has he checked this place out also? We can help!

well the problem is he goes 80 and is on the tollroads haha he works at us steel in nw indiana near chicago. its only about 15 mins and on the way home theres usually traffic. it doesnt help my dad has a lead foot haha. my car gets exactly 18mpg on the instant thing at 80. so i dont think its a problem with his. if im doing 50, my car gets about 40mpg and about 55-35 60-around 30, high 20s.
