Rough idling issues

I have a 1995 GMC Suburban c2500 7.4L I am having a idling issues. It does start but RPM is around 600 to 800 then it stalls? I have replaced TPS sensors, MAP sensor, and the IAC valve same problem. I am questioning the EGR valve? HELP Please anyone..

if you rev it, will it stay running?
another forum but its good info. did you check for vacuum leaks with some carb cleaner?

How do I test the EGR on a '94 7.5 TBI

Justin, could this be a bad fuel pressure regulator?

tmdog66 Sep 10, 2012 01:50 PM

To my findings little pieces of tin metal from the EGR valve upon removal , I cleaned the carbon buildup with carburetor fluid, and replaced it. I am 90% sure it could be a bad EGR valve

Hope you found the problem. If not, check out the fuel pressure regulator.

not real easy to check on this engine its part of the tb. you can check fuel pressure but you have to get an adapter there isnt any service port. so hopefully you found your issue
