2011 Acadia Blower Won't Shut Off
hello everyone. I have a 2011 GMC Acadia and the rear hvac blower will not shut off even when the car is off. I have pulled every fuse and relay I can find for the fans but it will still not shut off leaving me no choice but to unplug battery. The only thing I have found in my research that could be the problem is the "hvac control modual" and that it might be behind the glove box. My questions are 1. would you agree that would most likely be the problem? 2. where is it actually and if it'* behind the glove box with the front blower motor will that also control the rear? Thank you all for the help!

Well, you control the fan speed from either the front HVAC control head or the the rear controls...if neither fan control works, then I would assume it is a bad auxillary blower control module....
You should be able to pull the RR HVAC Fuse, 30A, in the Underhood Fuse block, to stop it.....second fuse down, under the Fan #2 relay....

Yes, neither control (front or back) will shut off the rear blower when it is acting up. Do you know where the auxillary blower control module is? The only thing I can find on it is maybe in the front

The rear blower motor isn't too hard to get to, you could pull the plug from the motor to buy some time so you don't have to diagnose and fix right this minute.
I think the control module is near the blower motor in back. FWIW it is the same model of control module as for the front.
