hi every body,
so i have an on going issue with my 99 chevy z71 ext cab 4x4
i have a steady pull to the right (pass side). the front end is completely new, control arms ball joints,tie rods, the whole 9 yards, had it in for numerous wheel alignments and everything is within the spec range yet i still get a steady pull to the right, i measured the wheel base and it was about 1/4 - 3/8" shorter on the right , so i would assume that was the reason for the pull, did some measuring and found one of the new control arms was off a bit so i swapped it back out with the old one, wheel base measured the same on bothe sides but pull was still there, rotated tires every way you can and no diff. i am stumped,
measured from rear frame to rear axle and it is the same on both sides ,
funny thing is it get worse at times and other times for a breif second its like there is no pull at all but then itt comes right back to haunt me.. any help would be great

Some things to consider.
There will be some pull or drift due to road crown. Not Excessive though.

Tire pressures within specs to the door sticker?

The alignments performed at the same shop, if so you might try another.
Some shops have the newer hunter system. Problem is this system will give a good reading, but a vehicle can still have a pull or tire wear. A good alignment tech. Can adjust the camber and caster fix the issue.

Can you post camber, caster , and toe measurements.

ya tire pressure good. i have had it into 2 different shops both say the same thing that it is spec range. i dont have thd print out anymore i threw it out. lol. got fed up.
tires are not wearing out of the norm. i dont know enough about the caster/ camber or i would do it myself. maybe have to take it back in now that i have the wheel base back to the same. i am not sure what else to do. very frusterating. i have been to about 5 different mechanics and they cant seem to help. they just keep saying frame is bent lol. wich is a possibility i guess but i dont believe it is.

A good alignment tech. will identify and fix this issue or make it less noticeable. Our shop always prints out a specs sheet before and after work to rule out any questions. The numbers may be in specs. but sometimes that doesn't mean squat. I suggestion get the after measurements from every shop and compare. Some numbers may be off a little, due to rack setups and machine upkeep. Get some references on descent alignment shops.

ya we only have 2 shops in town. they both gave before and after sheets. and explained what they did. the last shop said it was the tires. they said they swapped them side to side and it pulled to the left. i hopped in and drove it and it still pulled to the right..., idiots? i think so. but with only the 2 shops i am outta options i guess. not sure what to do now.

here is the print out the second place gave me. the adjusted the one in red to specs they said

if its randomly better and not that sounds more like a worn part like ball joints. did you replace those? control arm bushings?

yes everything is new on front end even all the control arms.

have you tried it in 4wd? im basically out of ideas, i think i would take it to a good collision shop, they are use to looking for problems like yours, and doesnt sound like the ones you have gone to really know anymore than the basics

Numbers shown indicate it should have a slight drift to the left. But with road crown , it should drive straight.

Like Jw suggested it might be helpful to get a body shops opinion.
