Good morning i just bought a 22 Equinox RS and my question is by it being the 1.5 turbo motor is it best to use mid grade or premium or just go by the recommended fuel of regular and if a mechanic is in the forum it would be helpful

It is a balancing act between lower fuel price & best MPG fuel economy though.
Testing on the highway with reg 87 & higher octane fuels, you may find that sweet spot of where the car may yield 4 mpg better fuel economy as an example..

I know of no reason not to use 87 octane. If you want it to be slightly more peppy, higher octane MIGHT provide that.
