Default Yukon XL Denali Radio-Navigation Mystery

I have looked all over to find this answer and the dealership does not know as well. My radio after about 10 minutes or so (time will vary) screen will go blank, audio will spike and I am unable to turn it off. It looks like something is trying load or re-load-perhaps nav. system. After 15 to 30 minutes the radio will be fully functioning again. This does not happen everyday and some days are worse than others. I found a person who documented the exact problem on youtube (
) and there were several people who have the same problem with no solution.

Todd, if it'* a GM dealer, I'd make them honor the warr on each new/replacement head they install.

I get beyond mad when a branded dealer says they don't know what'* wrong with their own product - time for a regional rep.

If it'* a used car dealer, I'd try and get them to pay for an aftermarket head w/nav.

I believe the warranty continues until resolution of any given issue

luck,greg

Was this Navigation in the Denali when you purchased it or did you pick up a GM Nav to install/ It alost seems lke something within the wiring is going on and the popping noise is the Capacitors popping releasing the overload of energy. I would have a compitent man uninstall your radio and look for any defects to where is was wired in wrong or a an open wire is touching something its not suppose to. Remember I am just trying not help and Im not saying thats the problem but thst is the next step I would do. Take Care and Good luck. Please let me know if you have any questions or need any help that I can try to help with. Im here to help. Thanks
