Default GMC Power Step Assist not working

Hi guys, i have a 08 gmc yukon denali with power steps. when i bought the vehicle they did not work, didnt hear the motors working at all. Dealer said the problem was the module. Long story short i pulled the module out and noticed the red/blk pin was corroded and broke off, i went online and bought a used one and still nothing working. checked for power at the red/blk pin and it reads 12+ volts but nothing still nothing works. BTW i tried the unlock procedure still nothing. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT. Does this used mod. need to be programmed?

in order to have a module that talks to the network you have to have good power, ground, and one or two serial wires from the cars network. is not just a matter of having 12v

Even though your meter shows 12 volts, your meter isnt actually pulling a load on the circuit. Get halogen bulb with alligator clips and check voltage that way. A good bright light will show a good circuit.
