Thanks
Yes, its possible for you to do the same. But if you plan on using your stock 98 transmission, I highly suggest you rebuild it with new clutches etc.

I'll try and remember most of the things I did with my V8 S10.

Your going to need a PCM from the V8 donor truck for this to work, or send your PCM off to have it reprogrammed with the V8 information.

Motor mounts are different. And you will need different ones.

Oil pan is different. Especially if you are 4X4

Your stock oil cooler/filter setup will not work with a V8.

You may have to swap out all of your O2 sensors. Yes, in some years, they are different between the V6 and V8.

Transmission crossmember will have to be modfied. This is because your motor mounts shift your engine to the right side of the engine bay. But, I'm not sure if you use stock headers, modded motor mounts might not shift your engine.

Your radiator will need to be moved forward. Which means cutting of the radiator/condenser support member. You may end up loosing your A/C condenser.

You will need electric fans because you do not have enough space between the engine and radiator for your mechanical fan.

That'* all I can think of off the top of my head.

It doesnt matter what kind of engine you put in it. If its anything bigger than a V6, you are still looking at serious modifications. Even if you found a diesel V6.
