Default 1995 GMC Jimmy

My Jimmy will drive for about 5-6 miles and then it dies. I Let it sit for about 3-5min and it starts back up and will drive for about 1-2 blocks. I have done this for about 3 miles just to get the Jimmy home.

I have Changed the following:

Cap
Rotor
Wires
Plugs
Coil
Fuel filter
Fuel Pump (Will not ever do this again).

Problem is still there.

Someone please help. At my wits end. Don't have the money to take to a shop.

Two things. One is the ignition switch, super high failure item on your Jimmy and gives the same signs as a failing fuel pump. Super high failure on your year and model.

The other thing to look at is he fuel pump ground wire being frayed. I don't know where it is on your Jimmy, but on the S10 it is located near the left tail-light ground, far from the fuel pump itself.

i dont know where it is on the 4.3 but there is a ign module that is either in the dist or on the intake that does that when they get old. the parts stores can test them but not many can heat it up and test it since thats commonly the fault
