Default 07 Tahoe spits fuel out of filler neck and emission codes

My Tahoe will spit fuel out of the filler neck when I'm fuelling it up. Its like it is vapour locking. I just had every thing apart and there were no restrictions. I also just replaced the evap sensor with the updated one from GM and will pick up a new gas cap. The other thing that the code reader said the problem could be is the evap canister.
The refuelling thing has really got me wondering.
Has anyone else had this happen or am I the only one?
Thanks for the help

in the evap there is a pressure sensor, vent valve, purge solenoid, canister. there is also 10+ codes.

by your description though it seems either your canister is clogged or your vent valve is sticking shut. the last being the most common. i havent worked on a 07 but most you can blow out the filter take apart the housing and shoot the solenoid with wd40 and use a battery to actuate it a few times. if it wont move or seal then you need a new one

I just replaced the purge vent and evaporative system.

This is what I replaced. It had a 449 code and it has a small leak code now. I was told code 442. I will take it to advance tomorrow and double check.
Is the part your are referring to?

is there a filter in that square part? if so then yes. you probably fixed a bad valve but something isnt sealed now. the small leak test is very tight, every seal has to be perfect

Yes I was told the square part is a filter and it mounts up along the filler neck. I'm going to get a dealer gas cap tomorrow. Then I'm not sure what to do from there.

take apart the connections and make sure the orings are in right and its on square when you put it back. maybe put some oil or a little silicone sealant on the orings.

I bought a new gas cap just to rule that out. It didn't help. The service tech told me that there is a solenoid on the engine that can keep gas from being pumped into the tank. REALLY?! I can see keeping gas from coming out of the tank but not letting gas into the tank?

the thing by your engine is to let engine vacuum into the canister when the pcm commands it open and draw the vapors out. these could be bad causing you not to be able fill the tank

the canister could be full of liquid gas (only supposed to be vapors)
you could have something wrong or plugged with the vent line to the gas filler.
you could have a faulty pressure sensor
