1. I don't have a way to properly heat the hard plastic line to get a barbed connector in there.
2. I don't have all my tools anymore, my ex-wife either sold them or gave them away.

I've seen multiple reports of using the silicon tape used on fuel lines with 0 problems.

i had to fix a hole in my 03 monte in the pressure line, went to carquest and they gave me the right size barbed fitting and he told me all you need to do is put the ends in some boiling water for a while, a little grease on the fitting and jam them together. no need for clamps. thats what i did, nothing deal.used a coffee cup. that was like 5 yrs before i sold it and never leaked a drop

A hard plastic line I assume?

I know the procedures to do it. I could get up there and snip the bad section out no problem, I just have no idea how I'd heat it to get a connector shoved in there.

Have you searched for the exact fuel line replacement using Compnine to find the part#? By removing the bed, this is typically not a bad job to do.

Compnine and another allow you to break down most everything to identify part numbers. Also, I bought fuel lines for a Blazer off of Ebay from a guy who strips Blazers for a living. Paid $30 for all three lines.

I think you have some options to replace the entire line rather than install a patch if you so desire. I have been doing some searching for parts for your truck, but DOD computer syatems bloack many sites.

Check out inlinetube.com also. I can't view their site at work, but they make laser bent fuel, brake, and trans lines. I bought their brakew and tranny lines for my 1991 Silverado, they were bolt, bleed and go. Not sure if they make a fuel line for your truck.
