Default Air suspension 2006 Envoy Denali

I have a 2006 Envoy Denali with original equipment self leveling rear air bags. When pulling my boat and vehicle loaded it starts out with 6" of space above the rear wheel wells at the end of the day it is 2". If you shut the SUV off it goes to no space but when turned on it will pump it up to 2". Is this normal? Is there an adjustment to get the full height back when driving?

Tanks for the reply
Weight of boat is 3100 pounds dry. With gear and some fuel 3,600 pounds. Trailer is tandem and most of weight is on tires. Will see if I can figure out tongue weight. Dealer said it should be around 400 pounds with gear. Will ask GM dealer if there is an adjustment to jack the back up more in the Envoy. It pulls well and stops well do not think it is over weight.

The 2006 Envoy Denali 2WD has a trailer towing maximum of 6600 lbs. while the 4WD has a trailer towing maximum of 6500 lbs. I am glad to see that you are planning to work with your local dealership. Please feel free to keep me informed regarding the situation via private message. Thank you in advance.

Tricia, GM Customer Service.

moved to it'* proper Mechanical Section. General Chat is for items that affect all platforms and "General Chat". It really helps the GearHeads, others with ownership of same/similar Models, the Forum regarding search bots, and our own internal search engine when we keep things in order. Thanx.
