Default 2001 YukonXL 1500 4WD 5.3 Front control arm bumpers

Hello All!

2001 YukonXL 1500 4WD 5.3

I finally decided that 300,000+ miles was enough on my factory shocks. I changed them out for a set of KYBs and things are much better. While under there fighting the rust monsters, I noticed that one of my control arm bumpers complete with metal cup is missing. I can get replacement rubber(?) bumpers no problem, but can't seem to find the right assembly with the metal cup at the end. Does anyone know where I can find these? Since it rides them all the time, I don't want to make the wrong thing fit and take a chance changing performance for the next 300,000 miles.

Picture below:

Thanks!

CC have you been out playing "Dukes of Hazard" with your Yukon?
Other than checking the wreckers or dealer for parts, the closest thing I can find is this: https://www.dormanproducts.com/p-27359-31064.aspx

I'm afraid not, although some of the paved highways in Nebraska are about as hard on suspension as the dirt roads of Southern Californ . . . err . . . I mean . . . Hazzard County, GA .

In a past life, it may have gone through more though.

That'* a concern, it looks like the metal cup is welded on (albeit not very well apparently). If I found one, I'd have a bit of a time cutting it off without ruining it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I looked there and all they have is the same soft parts I've found elsewhere.

Have you checked over at Energy Suspension by chance?
Chop saw at junk yard? Or that cup could potentially be made somehow by machine shop. You have the other side as a template...

Thanks for the suggestion. I just checked them out and same thing. I think nobody has it because it'* a welded-on part of the frame. I don't want to get into fabricating or adapting but might have to.

I wonder how it came off.

That British guy has been going around for decades righting the wrongs of all of my evildoer masterminds . . . but he hasn't yet caught on that they are puppets and I am the puppet master. Soon indeed, I will execute my greatest plot to deal with him once and for all. Muahahahaha! My Yukon WILL be avenged! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
