Recalls
I own a Chevy so I am partial to this thread but I have to say this.... I worked for a injection molding plant that made parts for GM and Mitsubishi and 80% of the parts we created were faulty and we found a way for them to get sent through. So if your in the process of purchasing a new Colorado, think back to this thread.

So, what you are saying is that all of the plastic on the new Colorado is complete crap, which has been the case with GM for the last 20 years.
What specific parts and failure locations have you noticed, as a former worker at a factory that produces defective parts that are getting installed on vehicles?

I am also looking forward to hear what defective plastic parts on the Colorado are installed.
In what way are these parts faulty?
I hope this new member replies.

Faulty in what way? Flash, sink, color match, splay, contaminated resin ... ??? Are you making interior or exterior components?

I am not saying all of this just to be some whistle blower or someone wanting to start trouble. I actually held a rather high position at this factory. I am simply putting a warning out there.
For instance the heater case (both manual and auto) as well as the evaporator case and the air intake case.

Well Jolly, how would you like me to answer the question? What would spice this thread up enough for your liking? Would it be better if I said that I worked for a company that intentionally cuts corners so that they could save a penny here and there or that no matter how defective the part was they made it where it passed the GMO audit.. I am talking about heater cores that were used or evap cases with screws missing.. You have no idea and this doesn't even begin to scratch the surface. I am not being vague I just don't know what you want to hear.

I wasn't really looking for spice in all honesty. Mainly specific examples to substantiate the suggestion of avoiding a specific model of vehicle. Having used heater cores and missing screws on evap cases do qualify as specific examples.
Thank you for clarifying.
