Default HVAC Blend Door Actuator Replacement

I have viewed the Youtube videos concerning relacing the blend door actuator and have begun this process. However, I find very little room to actually get on top of the actuator in order to remove the 2 retaining screws. I am wondering if I should remove the air bag module which apparently would give me more room to access the blend door?

Not having done one on this vehicle, can you physically get your hand up there and touch the screws, usually 5.5mm.......then you can use a 5.5mm closed end wrench......

I have had to do this on H-cars.....enough room to get your hand up there.....I have a ratcheting thumbwheel, and I attach a 5.5 socket to it.....and have enough room to get my hand up there and turn the thumbwheel....does removing the glove box give you more room?

Thanks for the comeback. I finally managed to solve the problem by taping a 7/32" ignition wrench to a screwdriver and was able to get the screws out. Had a heck of a time figuring out the size of the screw head but once I got it right the solution was easy. The blend door is now installed and is working fine. The 40+ year old set of ignition wrenches certainly came in handy for this job.
