Question 2004 GMC Sierra Transmition Problems

Hello all very new to this forum, and have a problem....
The other day i put my truck into park and it stilled rolled, and reverse did not work but drive did???? So i put the truck into 4wd and back to 2w and everything was ok.... Then i went for a drive and it was ok for 10 miles then while driving it just came out of gear into neutral. Had to stop and again 4wd and back and was fine. but noticed that the trans was shifting very strange??? couple hours later and a couple of miles later same thing its like when the trans gets warn it acts up??? what could this be???

Thanks for you input!!

You may have a transfer case issue.

i agree sgp and there insn't a linkage to the tc unless you have the very base truck not very common. if something was mechanically damaged in the tc allowing it to randomly go into neutral it would do what you are saying.

Get a clean drain pan and drop the T case fluid into it so you can if there is any debris in it.
It may require Autotrack II fluid, which is blue.
