05 Envoy Motor Swap

Anyone else done one? The GM FSM makes it sound pretty easy to pull and drop in a complete motor. The removal was easier as the head was removed prior in an effort to fix the motor.

Install was a nightmare space wise. With the plenum against the cowl lip and the oil pan on the frame, ended up pulling the oil pan drain plug to gain 3/8" and the TB to gain about another 1/2". Still had to shoehorn it with a couple of prybars.

That was all after pulling the front end off (per fsm) to get the motor into the engine bay.

By 2am the new motor was sitting on the mounts and bolted to the trans, but dayyyyum it was worse than a mid to late 90's Northstar in a Caddy.
