Always glad to help. BTW, your S1 manifolds flow extremely well. If us S2 guys had the ability to use them, we'd probably never want the Plogs or headers.

ok cool and me and my buddys where playing around with the idea of turboing it but it looks like it would have to be custom. as you know with series 1 motors we cant go high in boost cuz we get caped off by the smaller pully and smaller rotors also we cant intercool it unless we do it all custom then its not worth it. but if it where turboed it would be cheaper

I had my Series 1 3800 for 8 years and never really could get a decent amount of performance out of it until I ported the heads. Porting the heads was the absolute biggest increase in performance I ever had in that engine. I had a CAI, roller rockers, exhaust, ported LIM, and those didn't do much of anything because the heads flow like complete ****.
In order of heads flowing from worst to best:
S1 3800 < S2 3800 < 3100 < 3400 < 3500.
Yes, you read that right. GM 60*v6 3100 cylinder heads flow a LOT better than even Series 2 L67 heads do on a flow bench. If you want to open up a Series 1 motor, your best bet is to get 3-4 grinding stones, a dremel, new gaskets and fluids, and go to town on the heads. I can provide pictures of what I did if you're interested. I'd sell you my heads (since I'm getting an L67 swap done as we speak), but they are for the N/A 3800'* and you'd have to have the injector bosses drilled out in order to use them on the supercharged S1 3800.

What'* the difference between the S1 and S2 headers Bill? If the header flange is different, can't we just cut them out and re-weld?

Xtreme.. S2 the heads are different for injectors. S1...IIRC and I think I'm right on this one, S1 heads are all the same. I remember back in the day pulling some NA heads with a buddy to have ported for his L67 car because they were more plentiful in the JY.
Mike.. The valves and heads and ports in an S1 have one offset (non symmetrical port) When you look at an S2, all three ports are evenly spaced. An S1 isn't evenly spaced. I think it'* the 1 & 3 cylinders that are close to each other with 5 being further away.
