BONNEVILLE RPO INFO AND PONTIAC CUSTOMER CARE
This was in response to an e-mail I sent to Pontiac regarding RPO/Option info on our Bonnevilles recently, maybe it will be of interest to someone:
"Dear Mr. Washburn,
Thank you for contacting the Pontiac Customer Assistance Center. We
appreciate you taking the time to write us in regards to RPO code lists
and service records for your 1997 Pontiac Bonneville. Unfortunately, we
do not have a list of RPO codes that we can provide form the Customer
Assistance Center. To obtain a build sheet on your Bonneville, you may
contact GM Vintage at 1-905- 644-5843 by telephone or 1-905-644-5436 by
fax.
Also, Triple A Enterprises provides window stickers for vehicles back
to 1959. The contact information is:
Triple A Enterprises
P.O. Box 8463
Bloomington, IN 47408
1-812-333-9024
You may want to check out the Pontiac Historical Services website at
http://www.phs-online.com. This site is the source of historic
information for Pontiac owners, restorers, collectors, enthusiasts and car
buffs, who are looking for specific information on their Pontiac. By
supplying Pontiac Historic Services with the VIN of your car, along with
the other information listed on the "Order" page, you will receive the
most complete historical background and VIN information ever offered by
any automobile nameplate. The information packet from PHS will include
the following:
A copy of the factory invoice or billing history
A letter decoding the options (when necessary)
A copy of a dealer order form for that year
An official photo for that year Pontiac, if available
Other specific information for that year and model Pontiac, if
available
Please be aware that there are fees for these services. GM does not
maintain records of service or repairs that are available to the general
public. The seller of the vehicle may have some of the information
you’ve requested.
If you should need to contact us in the future, simply reply to this
message or call our Pontiac Customer Assistance Center at 1-800-762-2737.
Customer Relationship Managers are available Monday through Friday from
8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Eastern Time. Your file number is
1-198445897.
Again, thank you for contacting Pontiac.
Sincerely,
Greg Martin
