WOO HOO no more overheating!
 

I bought a can of rad flush and 4 liters of coolant, and 4 liters of deionized water, and a new 180 degree thermo, changed it all and the warmest it gets now is 90 degress celcius ( half way up the gage). Next week me and 4 friends are planning a camping trip we figure we can stuff 3 tents, 2 coolers, all our sleeping bags and clothing in the trunk and in the car it self..can it be done?? lol

Sounds like a good trip. That trunk was made for it.

Man, I just went camping this past weekend. I got 2 sleeping bags, one tent, a cooler, a camp tote, my clothes and a dog in the car with one other passenger. So tight I had to send my beer cooler with a friend.

That's gonna be a squeeze.

Get a tranny cooler on that thing!

Good god, man, get your priorities in order. Send the clothes with your friend and keep the beer. 8-)

You mean an auxiliary? The '93 SSEi's got one already, although it's not really huge...

I'm a firm believer in a cooler tranny, cuz the cooler fluid won't heat the engine coolant as much when it enters the radiator. I'm running the stock cooler, AND an aftermarket right in front of it for good measure.

damn will thats gotta be a great tranny cooling system! is it necisary to have that cool of a tranny? I know it would shift better and last longer but wouldnt the tranny fluid move slower?

hmm now youve got me intresed in this whole tranny cooling deal, my wagoneer had one for the obvious reasons 360 cid and a chrysler 727 tourqueflight tranny....anyways can i just go to a parts yard, yank one of a a bonneville and hook it up to mine? where does it hook up to on the trans?

But... but... *splutter* You've already _got_ one. Getting another factory one isn't going to do much for you, I don't think, because its usual mounting points are already taken up... by the one you've already got.

If you want to add more cooling capacity, I would suggest getting an aftermarket one that will come with various parts enabling you to hook it up in some other convenient spot and tap it into the existing system.

I also don't think you can have _too_ much cooling of the trans fluid, so if you think you're pushing your car harder than normal, go ahead and add another cooler.
