My father, who owned my car before me, never put 93 into it, alwasy 87...for two years he did that. When I bought the car, I put 93 in (Because it said on the fuel door) when fuel was over $3.00 per gallon I switched to 87. Now I am back to 93 octane.
I don't see a difference..

How long were you actually putting in 93 until you switched to 87? Perhaps the car ate 87 99% of the time it never had a chance to benefit from the 93?

SCs require premium, so I go premium, no matter what the price.

Scott, I just checked my fuel door this AM, never noticed it before

My car is also 100% tuned up...maybe you should look into that :P
yeah, i know my car DEFINETLY needs a tune up, im just a little short on $$ right now and im lazy and cheap. anyways there isnt really a reason to throw money into my car considering its awful condition (pics hopefully soon) im willing to bet that my bonne is the worst on BC even tho i love her

and also ive never put more than around 16 gallons in my tank and that was when it was beepin at me like crazy and it was pulsating, i think pontiac "over estimated" a little to get people to buy it

With gas going down, my car gets 94 Octane. If it hits $3 again, I may have to see how she runs on 89

man i got really exited the otehr day when i looked at the trip and it read 156 miles and my gas needle hadn't droped below the 3/4 mark yet...but now at just under 1/2 and it reads 209

so its still about right but i thought i had something going really good, i hate how the needle isn't alwase exact, it kinda ranges within 1/8 of the actual level

and btw gas was 1.89 last i saw (by the school, the 7-11 by the house is 1.99)
