Woo Hoo!!
The check engine light I mentiuoned in another thread went out. Yay for me, as I can't afford to fix nothin' right now, or lose a vehicle to down time.
Quick question tho. Would a bad batch of gas, combined with our sudden cold sanp, be able to cause it to light up? The reason I ash is because I was down to about 3/8 of a tank of gas, in our first stretch of consistent freezing weather. The wife and I agreed we hoped it was water in the fuel or something. :feedback: And Gordy, if you're stll up to it one day, I'd still like to see what codes it stored to verify or refute any theories. |
I know that light can come on with something as simple as a loose gas cap. If it was getting cold out and the cap was on...but might have been a little loose...who knows.
Glad it went out...but keep and eye on it (I know you will) as it could be an indication of something a little more serious coming up. Your best bet is to read the code and at least see what it was. Might just be a bad O2 or something...not that serious. |
That scantool will give your history codes. I'd definitely follow up on it. (you may have more than one code stored).
