A couple of questions
I have a couple of questions, they've probably been delt with several times in the past but I'm too lazy to read everything that'* been written in here and I've noticed that the people here are real helpful.
1 - 180 thermostat (drilled) What'* the purpose?
2 - Exhaust I've read in here that the NA Bonnys have a 2.25 inch exhaust and the Bonnys with a blower have a 2.5 inch exhaust. Instead of buying an expensive aftermarket exhaust for a NA car to improve breathing, couldn't a guy put the larger diameter stock exhaust on?

1. The small bypass hole will allow air bubbles in the system to pass even if the stat is closed. For performance, the car will take longer to heatsoak the engine than normal. Due to your climate, I'd drill just a single 1/16" hole.
2. No. You need exhaust velocity to be efficient. Until you cam the car with a good intake, 2.5" exhaust may cost you low-end grunt off the line. You don't flow nearly as much as a supercharged engine does, and our L67'* are good on the stock exhaust well into the high-13 and low 14 second 1/4 mile times.
