Will this tranny work on my 94?
 

I know someone with a 92 Oldsmobile 98 Regency Elite 3.8 single port fuel injection Non SC

Will his tranny bolt up to my 94 SC?

The car is more than likely heading to the junk yard, but the tranny was rebuilt about 9 months ago. I just wondered if this could be a possible donor for a tranny swap.

no....its not the HD, prolly the wrong gear ratio, and it will have to wrong internal wiring

How much do you think i should spend on a rebuild if a friend is going to do it? I believe I was told the Rebuild kit is around 4-500? And I believe hes going to charge about 4-500 for labor in and out. So about a grand. You think it would be worth it?

Depending where you get the kit, but a master overhaul kit runs about 300 for mine.

Im going to call a friend in the parts Dept., at the GM dealership my brother used to work at, and see what a rebuild kit will go for. I think I would be better off buying one and then going to the guy whos going to rebuild it, but I have to first find out the costs rather than getting another car. especially since I cant afford a loan at this point.

Keep in mind I paid $600 for my tranny rebuild a year and a half ago. Note my sig. I got R-N-N-N-3 now.

$600 is a good price. did you do all the labor? If I do mine, labor will be included, hopefully for right around a grand.
