Default Safety clip for plastic fuel fitting?

Safety clip for plastic fuel fitting?

Any one know if they make a steel safety retaining clip for this 90* fuel line fitting.
I have seen steel safety retaining clips for the other style fuel line fittings but not for the plastic ones.

Can't say as I have. Though I think you would prefer to use the plastic ones anyway. Makes removal much easier than steel clips that corrode to your fue rail.

Moved to General. Not a mechanical question.

I have only found the plastic. They usually carry replacements in the help sections of autoparts stores.

I am referring to safety retaining clip that would prevent the fuel line from blowing off the fuel rail if the plastic retainer fails.

Something like the clip in the fifth picture of Danthurs tutorial.

Go to a local salvage yard. You can get those from Grand Prix, Bonneville, Regal, Monty carlo. Should be on just about any 3800 engine.
