Changing out a noisy supercharger
Some free time, so off with the noisy supercharger.
Well well, a damaged O-ring on the injector.
Old supercharger, lost a lot of coating.
Got some cleaning to do here.
All cleaned and ready to go.
Moving the MPS over to the new supercharger.
Made up a new gasket.
On the right, the old supercharger. My very first porting job. On the left, my latest job. Outlet looks a lot better.
Don't want any more leaks. RTV is my friend.
Got it all mounted.
Had to pull the fuel rails again, had a fuel leak. Another damaged O ring. All better now.
This oil is only a week old and the only driving was the cruise around town. Not good.
Popped the snout open. Ya, not good. The rotors seem ok other then the coating. The coupler is fine. But found a tight spot on the snout. Bearing went out.
Chris showed up. He broke a bolt off, so I had to fix that.

Just got a phone call. A 79 Vette is stopping over for a quote on a detail. He has another car he also wants done. Hurray, my detailing business is getting back on it'* feet. I was crushed last year because the road was ripped up all summer. Who'* going to pay $200 for a detail and then drive over a dirt road to leave.

It was stuck so e used a bigger wrench.
The guy stopped over for me to look at his cars. I'm detailing the Jeep on Wednesday. Gezz, looks like someone cleaned it with a SOS pad. It'* all scratched up.
There'* the Jeep I'm doing.
I love it when people just drop off Corvettes, here' clean it, I'll pick it up tomorrow.
The paint is a little rough.
Looks like it sat in the sun with little to no wax on it.
I could have sworn he said a 79 vette. Looks a little newer then that.
