It super sporty edition... um has usually better radio, climate control, optional moonroof, power seats, and... optional hud... there are more but... oh and maybe perforamcne style exhaust and slightly different body styles for the '93-'99'* the 00'* on have bigger difference I think than the SE>

The first big difference is definitely the body style. Fog lamps are towards the center of the car on all SSE'*, SLE'*, and SSEi'* (after 92). There are more options like Kuhl said on the SSE'*. But I know someone with a 93 SE with the 'SSE package', so he too has leather, moonroof, and some other options I have. I've also seen a lot of SE'* with leather and some good options. So you can still find SE'* well equipped.
I prefer the body style of the SSE'* but would get an SE if it had leather, a moonroof and power seats at least.

SSE/SSEi had a body kit with skirts. SE kinda just had a smaller chin spoiler. SSEi is supercharged of course. SSE usually had the same options as an SSEi, but with the naturally aspirated engine.
Thats the basic differences.

I was reading that and noticed the performance handling package (Y52) in the Mechanical Section. It has all these things that deal with suspension and ride, and then at the end it says that in order to get it you need 45/45 bucket seats! Kinda funny since those would have almost no effect on any of the other parts.

My guess, is that since the performance handling package includes traction control, and the traction control switch is located on the center console, you need the 45/45 buckets so there'* a center console for the switch to go on
